Costume Design Paperwork

All Work by: Carly Bozeman

Below I have provided examples of the kind of paperwork I commonly complete during my Costume Designing process. Included, there are examples of Costume Piece Lists, Pull Lists, and how I noted things/communicated with my team.

Costume Piece Lists are one of the first documents I like to make when costume designing because they break down exactly what the actor has/what they need to be pulled from the costume shop.

The next document I like to complete is a Pull List of the items that need to be pulled from storage. For SSU's Fall 2020 show, Connection Collection, there were a few "period pieces" that definitely needed costume pieces pulled. In light of the COVID-19 outbreak, this document was incredibly important for the Costume Shop Director to receive as soon as possible.

In regular situations, I would relay these kind of notes during a production meeting of sorts, but considering the remote state our world is in, I created shared documents so communication with my costume team and director was seamless!
